Cody Gakpo revealed one of the most emotional moments of his life this week ahead of the match against Lithuania. The Liverpool striker has confirmed a rumor that has been circulating for a few days: he gifted his father a Bentley Bentayga, a dream he had since he was a child.
Asked by a reporter from Ziggo Sport, the “cormorant” Gakpo no longer hid the truth.
“Yes, I am happy to become a Bentley ambassador and grateful for this opportunity,” he said, also confirming the gesture to his father.

Gakpo emotionally explained that he wanted to repay his parents for all the work and sacrifices they made for him:
“Growing up, my parents showed me the meaning of hard work. Giving my dad his very own Bentley Bentayga was my way of thanking him for everything he taught me.”
Together with his brothers, Gakpo had been planning this surprise for a long time. For him, luxury is not important, but the symbol: family, gratitude and the values with which he was raised.
“To me, Bentley represents family, ambition and the belief that hard work pays off. This comes from the heart,” said the Liverpool star.

In addition to the touching gesture, Gakpo announced that he is officially a Bentley ambassador.
He drives a Bentayga S Black Edition, customized with orange details, a discreet tribute to the Dutch national team.
It will soon receive a Bentayga Speed Rubino Red, a color that sends straight to Liverpool.
Gakpo's love for Bentley comes from his father himself:
“He always spoke respectfully of Bentley,” the footballer revealed.
