Donald Tusk about the explosion on the Warsaw-Lublin tracks. “It's an act of subversion”

The incident occurred on the Warsaw-Lublin railway route, near the town of Żywyn, in the Garwolin district. On Sunday morning, the train driver reported problems with the track infrastructure near the Mika PKP station. Initial inspection carried out by the Masovian police indicated serious damage to the track, which forced the train to stop.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk appeared at the scene on Monday morning to personally assess the situation. In a video recorded by CIR, the head of government described the explosion as an “act of sabotage” that could have been aimed at blowing up a train on the Warsaw-Dęblin route. Tusk emphasized that although the tragedy had been avoided, the situation was extremely serious.

The Prime Minister noted that the police, the Central Bureau of Investigation, the prosecutor's office and experts are working on site and carefully analyzing every aspect of the incident. He also added that similar attempts to destabilize the railway infrastructure took place southeast of the area, on the same route, where there was also damage that could have led to a disaster.
On the X platform, Donald Tusk posted an entry in which he called the blowing up of the railway track “an unprecedented act of sabotage aimed at the security of the Polish state and its citizens.” He assured that the investigation was ongoing and expressed his belief that the perpetrators would be caught, regardless of who was behind these actions.
The situation has attracted the attention of NATO, which is monitoring the development of events and awaiting the results of the investigation conducted by the Polish services.
