Ana Ciceală, former general councilor, formalized her candidacy for the Capital City Hall on Monday, with the support of the SENS and URS.PDF parties.

The post of general mayor remained vacant after the election of Nicușor Dan as president of Romania. By law, by-elections must be held no later than 90 days after the vacancy is officially confirmed. Until the election, the management of the Capital is ensured by the vice-mayor Stelian Bujduveanu (PNL), appointed interim mayor by the General Council.
Ana Ciceală announced her intention to run for the Capital City Hall elections in July. He has the support of two parties behind him, but both at the beginning of the road, even with an electoral failure in the last elections.
His candidacy is supported by the SENS Party (Party for “Health, Education, Nature, Sustainability) and USR.PDF (Union for State Reform). SENS ran for parliamentary elections last year, but failed to pass the 5% threshold to enter Parliament.
