In Krasnoyarsk, investigators opened a criminal case due to the acute situation with stray dogs. This was reported in the information center of the Russian Investigative Committee.
According to the department, a large number of stray animals live in the Pashenny microdistrict. Local residents fear for the life and health of children who are forced to go to schools and kindergartens in such conditions. However, despite this, the competent authorities are not taking any measures.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, requested from the head of the Main Investigative Committee of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia, Alexey Eremin, a report on the preliminary and final results of the investigation of the criminal case.
The execution of the order is placed under control in the central office of the department.
Let us remind you that the number of complaints about stray animals in Krasnoyarsk increased sharply after the tragedy in the Berezovsky district, where a 10-year-old boy died as a result of a dog attack. Acting city head Roman Odintsov instructed to strengthen control over the work of contractors and conduct raids on places where animals were spotted.
Over the past three weeks, 909 applications have been received from Krasnoyarsk residents to catch stray dogs. Visits and inspections have already been carried out on 899 of them. 50 animals were captured during this period. They were sent to holding centers for a veterinary examination, as well as decisions about lifelong housing or sterilization.
