The match referee stopped the match after being informed that a spectator in the upper stands had been hurt. It was not the first time this happened in the current edition of the competition.

The match was stopped again in the first set, at the score of 5-4 in favor of Carlos Alcaraz. The Iberian blamed a medical problem on the thigh of his right leg and had to ask for a timeout. He recovered after 3 minutes.
