A shocking crime took place on Sunday morning in Galati, in a neighborhood opposite the headquarters of the County Police Inspectorate. A 17-year-old girl was found strangled in an apartment, and the case raises many questions.

The SMURD crew arrived at the scene and found the victim in cardio-respiratory arrest. Although the rescue team tried repeatedly to revive her, the girl could not be saved.
The investigations were taken over by the prosecutors, together with the police officers from Criminal Investigations, who opened a murder file to determine exactly how the facts happened.
According to Pro Lider FM sources, the young woman was allegedly strangled by a 21-year-old man. The alleged assailant was allegedly attacked with a knife by another man who knew the victim, possibly her boyfriend, witnesses say, who had returned from work. The latter would have intervened after the girl was already dead.
The 21-year-old man was transported to the Galati Emergency County Hospital, with multiple stab wounds, and the individual who allegedly stabbed the main suspect is in police custody, to clarify the circumstances of the crime.
In parallel, the investigators are also checking the conditions in which the main suspect was assaulted, as a case has been opened for beatings and other violence.
