After the last training before the match with Bosnia, the “tricolors” were visited at the hotel by a group of Romanian soldiers from the EUFOR Althea operation, the largest multinational operation in the Western Balkans with the aim of maintaining a stable environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The soldiers stationed in the Butmir military base in Sarajevo sent a message to the Romanian national team, took pictures with the players and took autographs.
“We are proud of you and will support you unconditionally. We are far from home and our loved ones, but you bring Romania closer to us. We want you to know that tomorrow evening, we will all be with you heart and soul. Come on, Romania!”, was the message of the Romanian soldiers, according to the FRF website.
The battalion commander presented Ianis Hagi with the Romanian flag and the emblem of the EUFOR Multinational Battalion. He sent the following message to the captain of the national team: “As from commander to commander”, according to the quoted source.
