In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a residential building in Kansk burned down due to carelessness when smoking.
The press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said that the fire on 8 March Street in Kansk began at about 5 a.m. By the time firefighters arrived, the outbuilding and roof of the house were on fire.
The fire was extinguished at 7:47 a.m. on a total area of 70 square meters. As a result of the incident, a woman was killed and a man was injured.
The fire was extinguished by 12 employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and 5 pieces of equipment. Preliminary reason: careless handling of fire when smoking.
