Presented publicly in Moscow at the beginning of the week, the first Russian humanoid robot equipped with artificial intelligence, called “AIdol”, collapsed on stage, quickly becoming the subject of jokes on social networks, writes News.ro quoting Le Figaro.
Russia's first humanoid robot equipped with AI should perform “three essential human functions”, according to its creators: communicate, grasp objects and walk. However, “AIdol” has already encountered some difficulties.
Barely introduced, the robot tripped on stage during its first appearance in Moscow on Tuesday. After trying to raise his right arm and salute the audience, he lost his balance and fell to the ground. All to the background of the war music “Gonna Fly Now”, from the legendary movie Rocky.
Two assistants accompanying AIdol on stage rushed to help him up, before quickly putting him away from the prying eyes of the crowd.

Vladimir Vituhin, the general manager of the company that developed the robot, said that he hoped that “this error will turn into an experience”.
“That's exactly what learning in real time means: when a successful error turns into knowledge, and a failed error into experience,” reacted the general director, according to statements reported by the Russian portal Meduza, which is based abroad.
