In his post on the Telegram messenger, Volodymyr Zelensky indicated that Russia is seeking escalation and is intensively preparing for it. “We should acknowledge that they do [Rosjanie — red.] they want a big war. They are preparing for it so as to be ready in 2029 or 2030 and at that time start such a war on the European continent.” – Zelensky wrote in the Telegram messenger. He added that there is a big challenge, so we should start thinking now about how to stop Russia in Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian president, stronger pressure on Moscow is necessary – especially since the situation on the battlefield does not indicate that the Russians want to stop and their arms industry is increasing production. “Everything should be done to reduce their opportunities. Don't give them money (…) and don't give them weapons.” – wrote the Ukrainian president.

Referring to the issue of frozen Russian assets, Zelensky expressed the view that handing them over to Kiev would be “a great loss for Putin and people around him.”

Russia's budget geared towards confrontation
As we wrote in Business Insider Polska, Russia's budget for 2026 suggests that the military threat from this country will not decrease.
