18 American soldiers were seriously injured during the operation against Iran, said the spokesman of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), Capt. Tim Hawkins.


On Sunday, CENTCOM reported the death of three US soldiers and said that five were seriously injured. On Monday, the number of military deaths rose to four. According to CNN sources, they were all killed in the same attack in Kuwait.
A total of 18 servicemen are considered seriously injured, a CENTCOM spokesman said on Monday.
At the same time, the Washington Post, citing an internal State Department document, reported that two members of the US Ministry of War staff were injured in the Iranian attack on a hotel in Bahrain. According to the newspaper, which cites sources, it was a drone attack.
No further details were provided in an internal State Department document dated Sunday. It is not known whether civilian or military personnel were injured.
In a statement issued Sunday, the U.S. embassy in Bahrain warned American citizens that “hotels may be targeted.” Americans were advised to avoid hotels in the capital, Manama.
There is a US Navy base in Bahrain (Naval Support Activity Bahrain). It is the headquarters of U.S. Naval Central Command and the U.S. Fifth Fleet.
