In early November, information spread on social networks about a man who allegedly attacks women in the dark and hits women on the head with a hammer. A Facebook post under the nickname Tatiana Skripka mentioned 11 victims. Law enforcement officers then clarified that they had not received a single such statement, but still began an investigation.
“This information turned out to be unreliable and has not been confirmed,” the new police report says.
However, law enforcement officers noted that they were checking information about a possible other attack on a woman in the Svyatoshinsky district, which they also learned about from social networks. The man allegedly committed an armed attack and started shooting.
“Preliminarily, the police did not receive any reports regarding these events. The police are conducting an investigation into this fact in order to establish all the circumstances of the incident and the reliability of the information,” the police said.
