In 2026, Rostelecom will install two automatic points for weight and dimensional control of vehicles in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The project, aimed at improving road safety and efficiency, is being implemented by order of the Regional Highway Administration.
One of the points will be located on the Krasnoyarsk-Yeniseisk highway section (260–270 km), the second on the Sayany highway (0–8 km) near the city of Minusinsk.
The equipment and software used will allow you to accurately measure the total weight, overall dimensions and load on each axle of the vehicle, record and recognize state registration plates, take a frontal image and general view of the car as it passes through the sensors, and conduct photo and video recording of traffic violations.
All functions will be performed automatically, regardless of the time of day and weather conditions. The information received will be sent via secure communication channels to government control authorities.
“The main objective of the project is to improve road safety and prevent the transportation of excess cargo. Intelligent sensors will be integrated directly into the asphalt concrete surface, which will allow cars to be weighed in motion, without delays, without reducing road capacity,” explained Alexey Usatov, director of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rostelecom.
The launch of weighing and dimensional points is scheduled for November 2026.
