Statement at a PSD conference: “Governance is like a wedding where USR steals the bride”. What Grindeanu says about the internal WhatsApp group “Low Government”

Sorin Grindeanu participated, on Saturday, in an event organized by PSD Dâmbovița, where a mayor said that the government of the current coalition is like a wedding where USR steals the bride. Asked if the PSD has an internal WhatsApp group, called “Down with the Government”, Grindeanu did not deny, but neither did he confirm the group's existence, saying that he is only interested in the “large group of Romanians”.
PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu was also present at the PSD Dâmboviţa Local Elected League conference, which took place on Saturday in Târgovişte.
The president of the League of Local Elected PSD Dâmboviţa, the mayor of Şotânga commune, Constantin Stroe, declared on Saturday that the government is now like a big time, “two steps forward, two steps back”, but “USR comes and steals the bride”.
A mayor invokes the “endemic evil” of the PSD
“Opposite our proud government, Mr. President, we are like at a wedding. In the sense that it's a kind of big party, two steps behind, two steps forward, two behind. When it's good, there's a nightcap, we kiss with everyone. But, according to tradition, the USR comes and steals the bride. Now the problem is as follows: what do we do with the guests, with the diners? Do we take the gift or not And here – either the son-in-law gets upset like a donkey in the village and we go about our business, or we swallow this too, we bring the bride back, we negotiate”, said PSD mayor Constantin Stroe, quoted by Agerpres.
The mayor added that “weaker and more unprepared ministers, as the USR has today, and this endemic evil that comes from their structure have not been encountered until now”.
Grindeanu avoids a clear answer
Sorin Grindeanu also presented in Târgovişte the PSD's three possible options for action in relation to the current coalition: staying in the current governing formula, moving into the opposition or reconfiguring the coalition.
When asked about the existence of PSD's internal WhatsApp group “Jos Guvernul”, Grindeanu replied that he is interested in “the large group of Romanians”.
“I am part of many groups, generally groups with Romanians and about Romanians. There is a group that interests me, it is a large group of Romanians. This is not an internal dialogue”, answered Grindeanu, in a press conference, when asked if he is active on this group and what is being discussed on it.
PSD ministers Alexandru Rogobete, Florin Manole, Bogdan Ivan, Radu Marinescu, Florin Barbu, as well as PSD deputy prime minister Marian Neacşu also participated in the meeting of social democrats.
