The promise of a well-known Romanian actor: “You can heal. I will do everything I can to wake you up from this never-ending nightmare”

Actor Alex Bogdan announces the launch in 2026 of a one man show about his gambling addiction.

“I was addicted to gambling for almost 15 years. Years full of: crying, horror, anxiety, debts, destroyed relationships, suicidal thoughts, loneliness, dopamine, damn my stupid mind, emotional carousel, and more, my God…and more. I didn't think I would get rid of this disease except through an extreme gesture. I was so bad,” writes actor Alex Bogdan in a message on Facebook.

This year I promised myself to do more to help those who are still caught in the vortex. To give them a hand that I hope they will take. This is how the “Păcănele, (title/life in work)” project was born, which just received funding from afcn!! It's my first afcn, and I'm so happy, I screamed with joy when I found out, because I know how much good this show will bring to people who are addicted to gambling. You guys have written to me by the hundreds on social media, I know what you're going through…I'm just telling you, you're not alone. You can heal yourself. I'm going to do everything I can to wake you up from this never-ending nightmare. I have a super team and we will make a super show, so necessary in this society so attacked by gambling!”.

It announces the launch of a show that will premiere next year and that has just received funding from the National Cultural Fund Administration (AFCN): “BREADS (title/life in work) – – a one man show (with musical accents) about my 15 years of addiction. A show that can also be seen as a map to the exit”.

39 years old, Alex Bogdan is a theater and film actor, but also a frequent appearance in television shows or commercials.
