Ryanair has quietly changed its price lists. Additionally, he now charges more not only for choosing a row, but also a specific place – says Fly4free. So far, the fees are not astronomical, amounting to approximately PLN 2 per flight, but does this step only mark the beginning of a trend for the Irish carrier?

Until recently, Ryanair's price lists provided for different ticket costs for individual rows, but the same price applies within them. As standard, seats with extra legroom, i.e. rows 1 to 2 and 16 to 17, had to be paid more. In turn, the seats in the front, i.e. from 2 to 5, turned out to be more expensive at the checkout than those in the back, i.e. with numbers from 18 to 33. Of course, these are quite general guidelines, depending on a number of variables.
The latest modification concerns the choice of seat: by the window, “sardine” in the middle or by the alley, which is desirable among people who want to have more legroom at their disposal (though not enough to buy them in the rows mentioned above). As analyzed by Fly4free, on one route standard seats in the 18th row cost from PLN 31.77 (in the middle) to PLN 33.89 (by the window). The increase of PLN 2 on site also applies to seats “supposedly next to the window, but without them”, i.e. in rows 12 to 14.
As the website suggests, this change in price list fits perfectly into the trend currently in force in the airline industry, which focuses on making money on everything except the “bare ticket”, i.e. additional baggage, seat selection, etc.
