A road accident in which three people were injured occurred on Wednesday evening in the municipality of Slatina. A car overturned in a 10-meter deep spillway, for the rescue of one of the victims the firemen used several equipment. The steep terrain posed great problems for the rescuers.
The accident occurred on Banului street in the municipality of Slatina, following the emergency call, rescuers from the Slatina Detachment went to help.
A car driven by a 49-year-old woman overturned in a spillway. The driver and two men were in the car, one of the men was stuck in the car that was overturned on its roof.
“At the scene of the event, an extrication vehicle, a fire extinguishing vehicle equipped with extrication accessories and a SMURD crew acted. Three crews of the Olt County Ambulance Service intervened in support. A car, in which there were three people between the ages of 20 and 49, fell into a spillway about ten meters deep,” transmitted the spokesperson of the inspectorate for Emergency Situations Olt, Alin Băsășteanu.

Two of the victims, the driver and a 20-year-old man, were found by rescuers outside the car, conscious, and were brought to the surface with the help of rescue equipment.

“The third person, conscious, was found stuck in the overturned car, being extracted and brought to the surface with the help of the equipment provided”. the ISU representative also specified.
All three victims were transported to the Emergency Reception Unit of the Slatina County Emergency Hospital.
