She forbids people from bringing bananas to meetings with her because of her phobia.
Thus, before a meeting with the Speaker of Parliament, the minister’s assistants wrote a request asking to remove bananas from the premises: “There should be no traces of bananas in the places where the minister will be present.”
The newspaper clarifies that Brandberg, who does not have allergies, refuses to comment on the reasonableness of her request. The minister replied to the publication that she was receiving “professional help” in connection with her phobia.
