“In 2020, following a fundraising I did on my page, I donated the amount of 46,778 lei to the Donate Life Association, which is about 10,000 euros at the time. My wife has activated the recurring payment via SMS to the same association for several years, paying two euros monthly”wrote Godină, specifying that he made these donations because he believed in the project of the two founders.

He explained that he did not know any of them personally, but that he supported their cause and work, which is why he wanted to openly express his opinion.

“I'm one of those who believed in the project of the two ladies and contributed. That's because there will be some who will throw a fit after reading to the end”, it shows in his post.

Referring to Oana Gheorghiu's statement about magistrates' pensions, Godină wrote bluntly:
“Mrs. Gheorghiu's statement was embarrassing and populist, she only omitted to say that those poor children from whom the magistrates take their money eat boiled potatoes in the evening, as the great Dac guru used to say.”

In an ironic tone, the policeman continued with an example meant to show how easily public messages can be manipulated.

“Do you want me to say something populist and embarrassing, see how easy it is? Pay attention here: “When I donated the 10 thousand euros to the association, I thought that money would be for sick children, but it seems that I paid almost three salaries for Mrs. Gheorghiu””. wrote the policeman.

Godină emphasized, however, that he does not contest the right of the founders of the association to have salaries corresponding to their activity.

“Of course it seems normal for these ladies to have high salaries for what they were doing, but look, if I want, I can give such and such nuances to the statements.”

In conclusion, Marian Godină called for honesty and balance: “Let's stop the double standard and recognize when the people we look up to are being silly.”
