The city of Braila could have a new multipurpose room. On Friday, August 29, the feasibility study for the arena was completed, one that should have 5,800 seats and will be able to accommodate more sports.

The announcement was made by the president of the Braila County Council, Francisk Iulian Chiriac. The new room would be located at the exit of the city, towards Galați, on a land of over 78,000 square meters, and would be almost three times larger than the current room, Danubius.

The first images simulated with the multipurpose are impressive, but at the moment a preliminary term has been announced regarding the date when this new room will be completed.

“The feasibility study for the new Multipurpose Hall from the exit from Braila, the project for the new Multipurpose Hall has taken a new step forward.

The feasibility study is now completed, and the projects of the project are ready and impressive. We are ready for the next stage! This construction, made to European standards, will be strategically located on DN 22B (km 4 + 520), at the exit from Brăila, to Galați.

The project, coordinated by the Braila County Council, in collaboration with the City Hall of Brăila and supported by CNI funding, was approved in the Zonal Urbanistic Plan and considers the arrangement of a land of over 78,000 square meters.

The new room will be a multifunctional one, with an estimated capacity to 5,800 seats, doubled the current number of Danubius (capable of about 2,000 spectators). As a whole, the project provides:

  • Exterior spaces for various sports – basketball courts, beach handball, tennis, runway, minifootball;

  • Generous parking

I am convinced that, despite the difficult times, the Brazilians and the Brazilian sport deserve this project that will not only strengthen the local sports life, but will also offer a regional cultural and economic pole.

The room can host national and international competitions, concerts, conferences and exhibitions, having a clear opening to Galați.

I remain dedicated to finance this project from government money through the Ministry of Development and the National Investment Company and bring this project to the Brazilians! ”, It is shown in the message posted on Facebook by Francisk Iulian Chiriac.
