Drug confectioners from the Krasnoyarsk Territory made cookies with cannabis

In the village of Kuznetsovo, Berezovsky district, two men suspected of selling marijuana were detained. The regional police reported this.

It was established that a 26-year-old local resident entered into a criminal conspiracy with his peer to sell prohibited substances “from hand to hand.” The young people decided to sell drugs in an unusual way, disguising them in cookies.

“The attackers purchased hemp seeds, which they then grew in a specially equipped greenhouse. The roles of the “cooks” were distributed as follows: one took care of the plants, after which both dried, packaged and baked cache cookies for subsequent illegal sale,” said law enforcement officials.

During a search in the country house of one of the detainees in the village of Kuznetsovo, a farm for cultivating drug-containing plants was discovered. Law enforcement officers seized 24 cannabis bushes with a total weight of about 3,700 grams.

Two bags of cannabis weighing about 30 grams were also seized from the car belonging to the attackers. Subsequently, police seized another 45 grams of plant matter from the places of residence of the detainees.

The total weight of the seized drugs was over 3.5 kilograms. Currently, employees of the Criminal Investigation Department are checking the involvement of the detained young people in committing other crimes.

Criminal cases were opened against the detained men under Part 3 of Art. 30 clauses “a”, “d” part 4 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs.” A case was also initiated under Part 1 of Art. 231 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal cultivation of plants containing narcotic drugs.” They are now in custody.
