

“Business is focused on maximizing profits, and Ukrainian business, unfortunately, is accustomed to underpaying taxes very often. We see this, for example, when communicating with our colleagues in Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, where many Ukrainian businesses decided to develop,” he said.
The Deputy Minister of Finance claims that Ukrainians, in particular in Poland, come with the question: “How can you not pay taxes here?”
“Those Polish businessmen with whom I spoke were actually simply offended by such questions, because for them paying taxes is a sacred duty to the state,” Kawa emphasized.

On September 25, the open data service Opendatabot reported, with reference to the State Tax Service of Ukraine, that over the last quarter, the number of businesses that meet the standards of transparent conduct in Ukraine decreased by 26%.
