Right back Andrei Dorobantu (21 years old) is the new player of UTA Arad. The announcement was made by the club prepared by Adrian Mihalcea (50 years old), through social networks.
UTA loaned Dorobanțu from Unirea Slobozia, a team that was relegated to League 2 at the end of last season.
The move was made at the request of Adrian Mihalcea, a technician who collaborated with the defender during his time at the Ialomi team.

Andrei Dorobanțu will wear the UTA shirt until the end of the 2026-2027 season, after being loaned from Unirea Slobozia.
At 21 years old, the right back has already made 104 appearances for the Ialomi team, 31 of which in the recently concluded season. He also made six appearances for the Romanian U20 national team, and in March he received a call-up to the national youth team.

After the formalization of the transfer, the young defender also sent a first message: “

The last official match played by Dorobanțu took place on May 18, even against his new team, in Unirea Slobozia – UTA Arad 0-1, a result that sealed the relegation of the Ialomi team.
Until now, Unirea Slobozia is the only club for which he performed in his career. His contract with the team from Ialomița is valid until the summer of 2028. During the mercato period in the winter, FCSB expressed their interest in his transfer, but the negotiations did not materialize.
Quoted at 400,000 euros by Transfermarkt, Andrei Dorobanțu will fight for a starting place at UTA with Flavius Iacob (25 years old), after the Aradean club parted ways with Mark Țuțu (22 years old).
He played 31 matches last season for Unirea Slobozia, during which he provided a decisive assist.
