In Krasnoyarsk, En+ and Rusal organized an open chess tournament “Plus chess discharge”.

More than 140 people took part in it: guests and residents of the city of all ages – from children to adults, including both experienced chess players and novice players. Fans could watch the game of experienced craftsmen, among whom was the master Fide from Divnogorsk Alexander Panov. He is the chief specialist of the material supply department of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station. The tournament was also attended by the Ambassador of the project Elizaveta Petrov. She is the European Champion, Women Fide Master, the winner of the All -Russian competition “White Rook”.

Krasnoyarsk tournament completed a series of 5 open competitions. They took place in the cities of the responsibility of companies: Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Bratsk and Irkutsk. In total, more than 600 participants took part in them. Tournaments were held in two categories: blitz for children and adults, and rapid tournament only for children under 16 years of age.

The director of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station Stanislav Legenda emphasized the importance of supporting chess, which help to form strategic thinking, teach to analyze situations, develop patience and attentiveness. These qualities are of great importance both in everyday life and in professional activities.

“People who play chess can quickly make the right decisions, commit fewer rash acts. These are very important qualities for energy workers, so we support the development of a chess culture in the region, ”he said.

On June 13, in Krasnoyarsk, a full-time final of the corporate Grand Prix was also held among employees participating in the chess club “Plus chess category”, which has existed since 2023 and is engaged in the popularization of this intellectual game among companies and their families. The final competitions determined the strongest chess players of the company based on the results of 28 qualifying stages, which were held during the year.

One of the initiators of the creation of the chess club Kirill Petrov noted: “Chess is one of the most massive sports, about a billion people are fans of this game. Open tournaments combine people of different ages and levels of training. Live tournaments are very important – these are the views of the players at each other, living emotions, tactile sensations from figures on the board. ”
