Hermannstadt – FCSB 3-3. Marius Măldărășanu (50 years old), the home team's technician, gave the first reaction after the duel in Sibiu. He congratulated his players for their effort and is confident that he will lift the team from the bottom of the table.
He also spoke about bad luck, in the context in which his team was tied in one of the last phases. He sees the glass half full, after his team scored 3 goals, but he also spoke about the errors in the defense.
It is frustrating for him that he did not get the victory, but he is confident that Hermannstadt will tie the positive results.
Marius Măldărășanu, statements after Hermannstadt – FCSB 3-3: “They didn't forget football in a month”
“For the poor man, even the bulls don't shoot. Another match against FCSB where we lose points in extra time. That is the situation, there is frustration, but if someone had told us before the game that we would take a point, we would have accepted it.
The game was good in every way, with intensity, against an attacking team. We need the victories, but point by point counts. The important thing is not to lose, because we lose confidence very easily.
We played open and we caused problems, exactly what I wanted. I congratulate the players for their attitude and effort, I have nothing to complain about.
We conceded three goals, we scored three, but we didn't get all the points. It's frustrating, but it's a point we bond over. We must be positive, see the glass half full. I scored three goals against FCSB, a team on an upward trend coming off the back of several league and cup wins.
It's a morale point and I'd like to see confidence from now on, in passing, dribbling, everything. They didn't forget football in a month or two.
Stancu has been with us since the beginning of the season. After preparations he was our number one starter. With Metaloglobus he had a bit of a scare, Kevin came in and stayed in the team. He also caught the national team.
I'm happy for Stancu, he prepared very well. He is a future player, I really think he has learned a few things from Nana Antwi, but he has to keep his feet on the ground. He made a mistake, but young players are forgiven.
When you lose matches you talk about a crisis. Overall, the group gets the team out of this situation and maybe we're not the group from last year. It's time to show. We saw a better unit today, and because of the problems we had.
I'm glad we scored goals, because we had a lot of chances in the last stages. That is why we are where we are, because of failures and mistakes. I could have had more points. The moment you open up, you are exposed, and a quality team charges you”, said Măldărășanu, on “Digi Sport Special”.
I told them to play for them. Players can physically, they just have to put in the soul. Maybe they didn't all put in the hard times, but this time almost everyone fought for every ball, in every moment of the game.
