The moment when a drunk driver enters a house in Satu Mare with a BMW: “He hit the wall of my bedroom, where I sleep with my family”

A serious accident occurred today, on Christmas morning, in Satu Mare county. An approximately 50-year-old driver, intoxicated at the wheel of a car, lost control of the direction in a curve, left the roadway and drove directly into a house. The owner of the building says that the area where the house was hit is the bedroom itself, and the bed is positioned next to the damaged wall

The blow was extremely strong, and the house suffered serious damage, including at the structural level, says the owner of the house. The accident occurred around 05:30, in the village of Petin, in the commune of Păulești, reports the local press from Satu Mare.

The owner of the house also claims that, immediately after the accident, the driver would have asked him not to call 112 and not to notify the Police, proposing an amicable settlement. The victim refused and called 112, considering that it was a possible crime.
Two police teams intervened at the scene, who took the driver and transported him to the Emergency Reception Unit of the Satu Mare County Hospital for the collection of biological samples. The owner of the building states, however, that the driver was not tested with the breathalyzer at the scene of the accident.
Later, the victim called 112 again to request the presence of a forensic scientist to conduct the on-site investigation and collect evidence, stating that he intends to file a complaint for the destruction. He claims that the operator at the dispatch center would have criticized his call, assuring him that the police would return.
Before a team of forensics arrived at the scene, a brother of the driver would have intervened with a bulldozer-type machine and lifted the damaged car, without the accident having been technically documented through photographic plates or other specific procedures.
Desperate, the homeowner says he is afraid to enter the house again, due to the structural damage caused by the impact.
“This is not possible, no one from the Police comes to take evidence. How can I prove that the man's car hit my house? I took photos and I have video footage, but I don't know if it will be admissible evidence in court. This situation is unbelievable. I don't even have the courage to enter the house, to sleep. It hit the wall of my bedroom, where I sleep with my family.” said the owner of the building.
