Industrialists call on the government not to increase UZ cargo tariffs: they are already 10-60% higher than in Poland and Slovakia.

Ukrainian producers of metal, cement, chemicals and ferroalloys are asking Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko not to allow an increase in tariffs for cargo transportation.
Railway freight rates in Ukraine are already 10–60% higher than in Poland and Slovakia, although the salaries of workers there are higher. All because cross-subsidization is prohibited in the EU: there, losses from passengers are covered at the expense of the budget, not freight transportation, as in our country.
In order to finally balance the financial condition of UZ and not drive the economy into a crisis, it is necessary, as in the EU, to provide budgetary funding to cover the losses from the passenger, and to exempt UZ from the tax on the land under the tracks.
But shifting the burden to the real sector will no longer work: it will end with a GDP deficit of 100 billion and the loss of almost 80,000 jobs.
