Driver shattered on the road after stopping for a breakdown and getting out of the car

A 40-year-old driver was fatally injured on Sunday evening, after, following a breakdown in the van he was driving, he had to pull to the right, on Expressway 12 Pitesti-Slatina. The man was hit by another car when he got out of the vehicle.

The tragedy happened at kilometer 96, within the radius of the Lunca Corbului commune from Arges.
“From the preliminary checks, it was determined that a 22-year-old man from Cujmir commune, Mehedinţi county, while driving a car from Slatina to Pitesti, allegedly injured a 40-year-old man from Berevoeşti commune, Argeş county, who was on the side of the road. The first investigations showed that the injured man had previously stopped the car he was driving, on the right side of the road, due to a technical fault”stated IPJ Argeș.
The driver who caused the fatal accident was tested with the breathalyzer, and the result was negative.
The INFOTRAFFIC Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police later informed that the traffic is directed, on the second lane on DEx 12 in the direction of Slatina – Pitești, at kilometer 96, in the area of Lunca Corbului, Argeș county, “where investigations are carried out to determine the circumstances in which a person, who was next to a van with technical faults, stopped on the shoulder, was fatally injured by a car”
Traffic resumed under normal conditions after 21.00.
We remind you that another road accident, with two cars involved, took place on Sunday, November 9, on DN 56, between Podari and Radovan localities in Dolj county. The two drivers lost their lives as a result of the impact.
Also on Sunday, another violent road event took place in the center of Iași, on Independence Boulevard, where a car overturned several times after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
