In the Moscow region, at the Polyany rehabilitation department, which is part of the Children's Medical Center, a shift for children of coal miners and power workers from different parts of the country has ended. More than 100 children, including young residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, took part in it, thanks to the support of the Melnichenko Foundation.
For ten days, the children underwent individual health improvement courses under the supervision of highly qualified specialists. All conditions have been created for recovery in Polyany near Moscow: a physical therapy room, an inhalation room, a swimming pool, a neurosensory room, cedar-, halo- and balneotherapy rooms, etc.
In addition, the guys always return from Polyany with a lot of bright impressions, because every year a rich entertainment program is prepared for them: creative master classes, sports competitions, meetings with interesting people, talent shows and excursions to the capital.
“It was the first time I had traveled so far without my parents, and I was a little worried,” Arina from Sharypovo shares her impressions. “But there was so much interesting stuff in the camp that we didn’t get bored.” New acquaintances, a lot of communication. I especially remember the excursions to Moscow to Red Square and the Museum of Cryptography.”
The health program for children in Siberia and the Far East has been operating since 2009. During this time, more than 2 thousand children with various diagnoses, including children of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk and SGK employees, as well as wards of Krasnoyarsk social institutions, were able to improve their health thanks to unique clinical methods and modern medical equipment of the Polyana rehabilitation department.
“The most important thing is that the child gained health, energy, and received important recommendations from specialists,” says Arina’s dad, technical director of the Berezovsky open-pit mine Roman Polevoy. “The health of our children is the health of our nation!”
Seventh-grader Margarita from Kansk also vacationed at Polyany for the first time. “We took advantage of this recovery program for the first time,” said Oksana Alexandrova, Margarita’s mother, an engineer in the material and technical resources management department of the Kanskaya CHPP. — My daughter still shares her impressions; she had no time to be bored in the sanatorium. Everything was planned in such a way that the children had enough time for entertainment and for a quality medical examination. Great, I’d like to do it again.”
