The Yenisei Basin Water Administration (ENBWU) for the period from November 1 to December 5, 2025 established an operating mode for the Boguchanskaya HPP in the flow range of 2900-3200 cubic meters per second.
Since mid-October, the station has been operating in the range of 3000-3600 cubic meters per second; the decision to gradually reduce costs is due to the completion of northern delivery to remote areas of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the navigation period of 2025 on the Angara River. At the final stage of navigation, the Boguchanskaya HPP ensured the implementation of a transport operation for the delivery of fuels and lubricants to the hard-to-reach territories of the Yenisei, Motyginsky and Kezhemsky districts.
From the moment the first units were launched in October 2012 to November 1, 2025, the hydroelectric power station produced and supplied consumers with more than 193 billion 571 million kWh of electricity.
In October 2025, average flow rates through the units of the Boguchanskaya HPP were about 3,347 cubic meters per second (in October 2024 – 3,336 cubic meters). By maintaining navigable levels at the water stations of the Lower Angara region, the Boguchanskaya HPP produced more than 1 billion 568.2 million kWh of electricity, which was the best production indicator since the beginning of 2025.

During the navigation period, boats from the Boguchanskaya HPP carried out the tasks of servicing booms, inspecting hydraulic structures from the upstream side and collecting large floating debris from the surface of the water. According to experts, from June to October 2025, about 400 cubic meters of wood waste were collected and sent for disposal in the station’s water area, which is 60-70 cubic meters more than in 2024.
During the winter of 2025-2026, all vessels will undergo maintenance, routine repairs and equipment testing as required by regulations.
The regimes for filling and draining reservoirs, and the passage of floods to hydroelectric power stations are established by the Federal Agency for Water Resources (Rosvodresursy), taking into account the recommendations of the Interdepartmental Working Group, which includes representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Fisheries, Rosmorrechflot, JSC SO UES, executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Federation, etc.
Information about the hydrological situation of hydroelectric power stations that are part of RusHydro is presented in the form of daily updated infographics.
