Two repeat driving drunks caught in Zelenogorsk (video)

In Zelenogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, state traffic inspectors detained two motorists who got behind the wheel again while intoxicated.

In the first case, the offender was a 63-year-old Lada Granta driver. In 2016, he was already deprived of the right to drive a vehicle for 1.5 years for driving while intoxicated, but he passed his driver’s license only in 2024, and did not draw the proper conclusions and continued to drive drunk.

In the second case, the breathalyzer showed 1.053 mg/l in a 45-year-old Ford Focus driver. The man, not agreeing with the result, underwent a medical examination, which confirmed that he was driving while intoxicated. He was caught committing the same violation in March 2025 and was deprived of his license for 1.5 years.

“The result of drunk driving for repeat offenders is the same – criminal cases have been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Driving a car by a person in a state of intoxication subject to administrative punishment.” The maximum sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 2 years. The violators’ cars were placed in a special parking lot,” the traffic police said.
