Jannik Sinner lost at least €2 million due to having three months of inactivity between February 9 and May 4, 2025, which resulted in him missing certain tournaments. Thus, he will not be eligible for the bonus fund made available by the ATP for the best players in the Masters tournaments.

Bonuses are given to the top 30 players who achieved the best results during a season in the Masters 1000 and ATP Finals tournaments, and the rewards come from the ranking compiled from the points won in such competitions, but also if certain conditions are met. The total prize fund is 19 million euros.

After Paris, Carlos Alcaraz is in first place with 3,420 points, followed by Sinner with 2,350, Jack Draper (1,960) and Lorenzo Musetti (1,770).

The race in Turin, which starts on Sunday, will determine the final standings, but one thing is already certain: Jannik will not receive any bonus.

An essential condition for accessing the bonus is participation in all mandatory Masters 1,000 tournaments and the ATP Finals. There are eight mandatory Masters tournaments out of nine, the only one not on the mandatory list being Monte Carlo.

Masters 1000 tournament winners in 2025

  • Indian Wells – Jack Draper

  • Miami – Jakub Mensik

  • Monte Carlo- Carlos Alcaraz

  • Madrid -Casper Ruud

  • Rome – Carlos Alcaraz

  • Toronto – Ben Shelton

  • Cincinnati– Carlos Alcaraz

  • Shanghai – Valentin Vacherot

  • Paris – Jannik Sinner

The rule also applies to suspensions, such as the one Sinner received after accepting a plea deal with WADA. In 2025, the Italian won the Paris Masters 1000 title and reached the finals in Rome and Cincinnati before being eliminated in the third round in Shanghai. His total was 2,350 points. Only Alcaraz collected more.

Jannik missed Indian Wells, Miami and Madrid (as well as Monte Carlo) due to the suspension, and then withdrew from Toronto in the summer.

5 tournamentswon Jannik Sinner in 2025, two Grand Slams (Australian Open and Wimbledon), one Masters1,000 category (Paris) and two ATP 500s (Beijing and Vienna)

He missed four mandatory 1,000-point tournaments – zero bonuses – in a penalty system that sees a 25% reduction in prize money for one missed tournament, 50% for two and 75% for three.

As a result, Jannik is forced to give up at least €2 million and obviously cannot aspire to the more than €4 million first-place bonus. It should be noted that Alcaraz will not receive the full bonus either, but only 25%, as he missed three Masters 1000 tournaments. But this was his choice.

Sinner, however, won $14 million in prize money this season before the ATP Finals. In addition, by triumphing for the second time in the demonstration tournament in Riyadh, he also secured a check for 6 million dollars.

Jannik Sinner topped this hierarchy in 2024, while in 2023, Carlos Alcaraz received over $4 million following this hierarchy.

Jannik Sinner, rich portfolio of sponsors

In addition to tennis awards, the Italian can also rely on a large portfolio of partners. The Clostebol case did not affect his relationship with his sponsors at all.

In the days immediately following WADA's announcement, new TV ads were aired, and one company even bought newspaper ads with the slogan “Together, Always Forward.”

The contracts were confirmed without exception. In August, Jannik signed its 14th partnership, with luxury travel brand Explora Journeys.

The latest agreement was formalized in the last few hours. Its partnership with Lavazza, which is also a platinum partner of the ATP Finals, has been renewed until 2030.

The coffee company partnered with Sinner in 2019, when the Italian was ranked 140th in the world. “Jannik is much more than a brand ambassador: he is part of our family,” said president Giuseppe Lavazza.

In total, the partnerships of the world number one are worth 39 million euros per year, according to estimates provided by ChainOn.
