Russians are less likely to buy ready-made food due to the negative information background
The share of Russians who bought ready-made food at least once in the third quarter of 2024 decreased by 1.7% compared to the same period in 2023. This is the first time this category has seen a decline.
Analysts suggest that the trend is associated with a decrease in Russians’ confidence in the quality of prepared food – last summer and autumn were marked by regular news about poisonings and the discovery of parasites in food ordered at home.
