Zbigniew Ziobro reacts to the Sejm's decision: Tusk is the king of thieves

The Sejm decided on Zbigniew Ziobro's case
The Sejm decided to lift the immunity of PiS MP Zbigniew Ziobro. The decision was made in 26 votes regarding each of the charges formulated by the prosecutor's office. Additionally, MPs agreed to the detention and temporary arrest of the former Minister of Justice. Some votes resulted in a split in the Confederation.
The Sejm waived the immunity of Zbigniew Ziobro in relation to all 26 charges that the National Prosecutor's Office wants to bring against him in connection with the Justice Fund case. MEPs voted 26 times to lift Zbigniew Ziobro's immunity. In each of these votes, the majority was obtained by parliamentarians who supported the prosecutor's motion.
Some of the votes resulted in a split in the Confederation. Some MPs supported the motions, others had a different opinion. All MPs from KO, PSL, Polski 2050 and the Left took part in the votes. Nine PiS MPs, three from Confederation and one from the Republicans group were absent.
Zbigniew Ziobro targeted by the prosecutor's office
The prosecutor's office wants to charge the former Minister of Justice with leading an organized criminal group and using his position for criminal activities. Ziobro allegedly committed a total of 26 crimes – including, among others: give orders to his subordinates to break the law in order to provide selected entities with subsidies from the Justice Fund, interfere in the preparation of competition offers and allow funds to be awarded to entities that are not authorized to do so.
