❗️Using a VPN is haram
Using a VPN to access blocked and illegal content is contrary to Sharia. This decision was made by the Council on Islamic Ideology of Pakistan, media reports.
Since VPNs are used to bypass government content restrictions, their use constitutes “aid in sin” which is expressly prohibited in Sharia.
