This time the Monetary Policy Council did not surprise economists and, as expected, reduced the NBP interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point. This was the fourth decision of this type in a row, leading to a decline in interest rates on bank loans and deposits.

The median salary in the public sector in May 2025 was over a quarter higher than in the private sector – according to data from the Central Statistical Office. Traditionally, most employees earn salaries below the national average.

The beginning of November brought a further increase in fuel prices in Poland. As a result, both gasoline and diesel oil have been the most expensive since the end of July. Looking at what is happening in refineries, we can expect further price increases at gas stations in the coming days.

In October, the National Bank of Poland increased its gold reserves – according to calculations by Bankier.pl. This would therefore be the first such case since May, when the Polish central bank achieved the goal of achieving 20% ​​of foreign exchange reserves invested in gold. Now he wants to hold 30% of the bullion.
