Almost two weeks since Edi Iordănescu (47 years old) is no longer the coach of the Poles from Legia Warsawthe former Romanian national team returned with an official post on Facebook, speaking for the first time since the break with the club from the capital of Poland.

The former Romania coach had an unsuccessful spell in the Ekstraklasa, leaving the team in 10th place, well below leaders Gornik Zabrze.

After the defeat with Pogon Szczecin, score 1-2, in the Cup, the Romanian technician announced that he would have a meeting with the club management. This happened a few hours later, in the middle of the night, when the two sides reached an agreement on the amicable termination of the contract.

Current status of the Warsaw Law

I am grateful for the opportunity I had to work at Legia Warsaw, such a prestigious club with a huge tradition and amazing fans!
It was a complicated but fascinating experience, full of intensity, even if it took less time than we would have liked.

My staff and I worked with all our knowledge and dedication. In football, as in life, sometimes the real answers come later, and only time can provide a clear understanding of challenges beyond the power of a technical staff.
There were definitely things we had different perspectives on, but that's part of the complexity of football.

I hope that the win in the Polish Supercup against a rival and qualification to the Conference League groups brought joy to the fans and at the same time helped the club to follow an important path to financial stability and European success.
I thank the club management for the trust placed in me and my team, and I am grateful to all the professionals who work at Legia and who fought alongside us, moment by moment, for the good of the club and the happiness of the fans.

It was a unique experience, I must admit, and I will forever remain a supporter of the Warsaw Law. I wish all the best to the players I have had the chance to work with and I hope that the incredible spirit that burns in the stands for Legia will soon be rewarded with great results, as it undoubtedly deserves.

Since parting with the Romanian technician, Legia Warsaw has achieved a draw (1-1) away to Widzew Lodz, and a defeat (1-2) on the ground of the Slovaks in Celje, although the Poles led 1-0.

In the domestic championship, the formation from the capital occupies the 10th place, after 13 stages, with only 17 accumulated points.
