Patrick recently signed with the academy of Athletico Paranaense, one of the most respected Brazilian clubs when it comes to training young talents.

Born on September 2, 2008, in Curitiba, Patrick has dual citizenship, Romanian and Brazilian. He plays as a central defender and already stands out for his imposing stature: 1.90 m.

He started football in Italy, at Modena's academy, but in 2025 he returned to Brazil to take the next step in his career. The transfer to Athletico Paranaense U20 was officially announced in the autumn, and Patrick quickly integrated into the youth team, preparing for his debut in national competitions.

Patrick, heir to a legendary volleyball family

Cristina Pîrv is one of the greatest values ​​of Romanian volleyball, with participation in the World and European Championships, 18 trophies won with club teams and 19 individual awards, being twice chosen the best player of the European Championship.

His father, Giba, is considered by many to be the greatest volleyball player in history, an Olympic champion and three-time world champion with Brazil, a member of the Hall of Fame. His track record includes:

  • Olympic gold in Athens 2004, silver in Beijing 2008 and London 2012
  • Three world titles (2002, 2006, 2010)
  • Eight World League gold medals (2001–2010)
