“Following the public message sent by ANAF through the national data collection campaign regarding the contracts concluded for the period June – December 2025, a significant number of companies that own event halls voluntarily complied, declaring correctly and transparently the income and fiscal obligations.

In this way, we appreciate the taxpayers who agreed to voluntarily comply with the legal provisions.

In the period June – September 2025, in the state budget, the amounts declared were higher by 16.10%, the declared profit tax increased by 19.68%, and the income tax by 19.61%. The declared VAT registered an increase of 20.32% compared to the previous year“, ANAF transmits in a statement.

According to the institution, these figures confirm that a significant part of the taxpayers in this field opted for voluntary compliance, understanding the importance of the correct taxation of income from the event organization activity.

“The activity of the main organizers of festive and corporate events is constantly monitored by the General Anti-Tax Fraud Directorate, in this sense the information provided by the RO e-Invoice and RO e-cash register information systems, as well as the information available from public sources, is used.

The analyzes carried out in this way highlighted discrepancies between the estimated financial flows generated by the activity of organizing events and the declared revenues, indicating a low level of compliance in certain cases”adds ANAF.

Therefore, through the General Anti-Fraud Fiscal Directorate, ANAF will continue the controls in this field of activity, starting from November 10, targeting more than 80 taxpayers, who did not understand to comply voluntarily and comply with the legal provisions.

The objectives of the controls will be aimed at:

  • issuance of supporting documents for the collected amounts;
  • fulfilling the fiscal obligations related to the staff involved in the organization of the events.

“We emphasize that those companies that do not comply within the deadline will bear the fiscal consequences provided by the law. At the same time, the correct taxpayers will benefit from a fair and predictable fiscal treatment, including through this type of prevention campaigns.

ANAF specifies that the verification actions will not affect the conduct of festive events and will not target their participants. Controls will be carried out exclusively outside the time slot allocated to the respective events”the statement also states.
