Woman in cardio-respiratory arrest after being hit by a tram cable, on a sidewalk in Bucharest. Several lines have been diverted

Serious incident in the Capital: a woman was injured on Thursday, November 6, after a tram cable broke and fell on the pavement. The victim is in serious condition and was taken to hospital. Several tram lines in the area are currently blocked.

From the first data, the woman is in cardio-respiratory arrest and was transported to the hospital.
According to the Bucharest Transport Society (STB), the incident occurred around 11:20 a.m., at the intersection of Calea Dudești and Șoseaua Mihai Bravu.
A third-party truck hooked the wire of the electric contact network of the trams. As it fell, the cable hit the woman on the sidewalk, who was immediately assisted by a SMURD crew.
As a result of the incident, tram traffic on lines 1, 10, 19, 23, 27 and 49 is currently blocked.
STB established two shuttle bus lines to pick up passengers: 601- between the Romprim terminal and the Obor intersection; 623 – between the Faur terminal and the intersection of Nerva Traian Street and Octavian Goga Boulevard.
STB representatives recommend passengers to avoid the area until trams resume.
