From the first data, the woman is in cardio-respiratory arrest and was transported to the hospital.

According to the Bucharest Transport Society (STB), the incident occurred around 11:20 a.m., at the intersection of Calea Dudești and Șoseaua Mihai Bravu.

A third-party truck hooked the wire of the electric contact network of the trams. As it fell, the cable hit the woman on the sidewalk, who was immediately assisted by a SMURD crew.

As a result of the incident, tram traffic on lines 1, 10, 19, 23, 27 and 49 is currently blocked.

STB established two shuttle bus lines to pick up passengers: 601- between the Romprim terminal and the Obor intersection; 623 – between the Faur terminal and the intersection of Nerva Traian Street and Octavian Goga Boulevard.

STB representatives recommend passengers to avoid the area until trams resume.
