CS Minaur, a club that belongs to the Baia Mare City Hall, has made public the salaries that the players and staff members receive from the two sports sections that it oversees, football and handball. In handball, the highest salary is close to 7,000 euros per month. Below, the complete painting.
As stipulated by the Sports Law, sports clubs under public law are obliged to submit, annually, financial data such as sources of income, accounting balance sheet and budget execution.
Minaur Baia Mare, a sports club under public law, established by the local mayor's office in 2015, went further and it also made public the salaries that the athletes and those who train them benefit fromwrote golazo.ro.

The publicly available aggregator shows, in addition to salaries, the amounts distributed for taxes and their benefits, such as rent and food.
The names of the athletes and supporters are not specified in the documentonly their functions being mentioned – “player” and “technical staff”.
The highest salary is enjoyed by o players from the senior women's team, who collect monthly, net, 34,144 lei, the equivalent of 6,709 euros at today's exchange rate.
In football, with the team in League 3, a single salary is close to 2,000 eurosbeing in the amount of 10,000 lei (1,967 euros). Most of the players receive up to 5,000 lei, and the best paid member of the staff, probably the head coach, reaches 8,000 lei.
Some of the players also benefit from up to 1,000 lei per month for rent.
Among the 3 senior teams, football consumes the least with salaries, only 158,365 lei per month, around 31,000 euros.
Salaries of over 6,000 euros in handball
The handball teams consume similar amounts, around 520,000 lei per month, but the female teams have more salaries, 29 in number, compared to 21 for the male.
In men's, where the senior team ranks 7th in the National League, 12 players receive over 20,000 lei monthly. The best paid earns 33,000 lei, just under 6,500 euros.
The coaches of the two handball teams also receive significant salaries: 24,780 lei per month for Ferreira Joao Alexandre, the coach of the women's team, and 24,713 lei for Nuno Farelo, the coach of the men's team. In euros, that's a little up to 5,000 euros.
In 2023, the club had expenses of around 4.6 million euros
In the latest budget execution available on the club's website for 2023it is shown that the football section then consumed 5.9 million lei, the equivalent of 1.19 million euros, compared to the average exchange rate of 2023.
In the same year, men's handball consumed 1.72 million euros, and the female “half” also around there, 1.71 million euros.
By far, the biggest weights in the list of expenses were their salaries and related taxes.
