On International Children's Day, Moscow turned into a large-scale interactive platform. In 2026, the holiday will be held on a special scale: more than 500 locations have been prepared for Muscovites and guests of the city, combining modern technologies, educational initiatives and good family traditions. This year's emphasis is on future career guidance, inclusion and family values.

National Center “Russia”: Festival “The Future is in the Hands of Children”: One of the key points of attraction was the site of the National Center “Russia”. Despite the fact that the construction of the main building of the complex continues (the project of which recently became a sensation at the ARCH MOSCOW exhibition), the center is already actively working as a full-fledged cultural cluster.

A multimedia exhibition “Russia through the eyes of children” took place here. Using neural networks, the organizers visualized the dreams of young Russians about the cities of the future. At 14:00 a large-scale quest starts on the territory, the participants of which will be the first to test the “Digital Visitor Passport” – a technology that in the future will become a standard for all guests of the center.

VDNKh: The main stage of the country: Traditionally, VDNH confirms its status as the epicenter of the holiday. The main theme of the events at the exhibition this year is “Year of the Family: Continuity of Generations”. The largest eSports and robotics zone has opened in the Park of the Future, and the Cosmonautics and Aviation pavilion offers free excursions conducted by young expert guides. The culmination of the evening program on Industry Square will be a large-scale drone show: at 20:00 hundreds of drones will recreate images from classic Russian cartoons in the sky.

Zaryadye Park: Open Air Science: In 2026, Zaryadye turned into a scientific laboratory. The park’s media center hosts a discovery festival, where children, under the guidance of experts, design “smart cities” from environmentally friendly materials. The inspiration for young builders is bionic architecture – a trend set by the new project of the building of the National Center “Russia”.

Luzhniki: Sports Marathon: For supporters of an active lifestyle, the All-Russian Children's Spartakiad was organized at Luzhniki. The program includes master classes from Olympic champions and areas for family fitness. The main event of the day will be the largest one-kilometer children's race in the history of the country, in which more than 10 thousand people are planning to take part.

Cultural program and museums: According to the Moscow Department of Culture, today more than 80 city museums and exhibition halls operate free of charge for children and their accompanying persons. Special interactive zones “Touching is Allowed” were prepared by the Pushkin Museum. Pushkin, Historical Museum and Museum of Moscow.

City services are working in enhanced mode to ensure safety in places of mass celebrations. Volunteers are on duty at all sites to help guests with navigation. To plan routes, parents are recommended to use the Moscow Transport mobile application, where information about the congestion of holiday zones is updated in real time.

Festive events in parks and squares of the city will last until 22:00. On the first day of summer, Moscow once again confirmed its status as a city that is as child-friendly as possible and open to new generations.
