Falling drone debris caused a fire in an industrial zone in the Krasnoarmeysky district, Bocharov reported in the Telegram messenger. He added that the city authorities are preparing a temporary shelter for residents of damaged buildings, and sappers are inspecting them.

Volgograd was attacked by drones for about five hours, the Moscow Times reported. Most of the explosions were heard in the west and north of the city. Eyewitnesses noticed that the drones were flying at low altitude over the Volga River. According to the independent Astra channel, they may have attacked the Lukoil-Volgogradneftiepererabotka oil refinery in the Krasnoarmiesky district, where the fire broke out.

RIA Novosti reported that Russian air defenses shot down 75 Ukrainian drones at night, including 45 in the Volgograd region. The media reported that flights at 13 airports were suspended in Russia because of the drones.
