Bucharest firefighters intervene on Wednesday evening to ensure fire prevention measures following the notification of a natural gas leak on Popa Tatu Street in the Capital.

“A gas leak was identified at an underground pipe. Checks were carried out in the neighboring blocks, without identifying values above the alarm threshold, meaning that the evacuation of the tenants was not required”, the press office of the Bucharest-Ilfov Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISUBIF) reported.

A safety perimeter of 100 meters was created as a precaution, and a crew from the gas company is working to fix the fault, according to Agerpres.

The ISUBIF firemen moved to the indicated location, as a precaution, a fire truck with water and foam.
