If the document is signed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, increased payments will come into force from the beginning of 2026.

Deputies approved the following types of support:

  • 7,000 UAH – benefit in connection with pregnancy and childbirth for uninsured persons;
  • 50,000 UAH one-time – at the birth of a child;
  • “Baby package” one-time – a set of children’s goods or their cost (at the parents’ choice);
  • 7,000 UAH per month – allowance for caring for a child until he reaches one year old (can be assigned to children who are under one year old on the day the law comes into force, that is, those born in 2025);
  • 8,000 UAH – “eNursery” allowance for caring for a child from 2 to 3 years old in the case of full employment of the mother or other legal representative who actually cared for the child up to 1 year old;
  • an increase of 1.5 times for child care benefits up to one year and benefits for children with disabilities;
  • 8,000 UAH – cash payment for child care “eSadik” from the local budget to provide care for a child from 4 to 6 years old in the event of a lack of free space in communal kindergartens from 2028;
  • 5,000 UAH – one-time monetary assistance to first-grade students “Student Package”.

Getmantsev emphasized that the bill was submitted to the Rada even before the start of the war. Some of the opposition in the Ukrainian parliament did not vote for him today, he added.

People's Deputy from “Voice” Yaroslav Zheleznyak indicated that 294 parliamentarians voted for the document.

Context

Now in Ukraine, upon the birth of a child, parents are entitled to UAH 41,280. A one-time benefit is paid in the amount of 10,320 UAH, the remaining amount is paid over the next 36 months in equal parts, 860 UAH per month.

In March, First Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Daria Marchak reported that the international population reproduction rate is 2.2 children per woman of childbearing age, and in Ukraine this figure is only 0.9 after the start of a full-scale invasion – and this anti-record in the history of the country.
