“Would you believe us if we told you that a 16-year-old learner driver, under the accompanied driving regime, he was caught driving at 147 km/h, in a place where the speed limit is 80 km/h?
But this is what the gendarmes of the motorized platoon from Bulgnéville found on Tuesday, on a small county road in La Neuveville-sous-Montfort”the cited institution sent.
In the passenger seat was his mother, as a companion, who was supposed to watch over his safety and teach him to be cautious. Therefore, the young man's beginner's card was confiscated and he risks up to 3 years of being banned from taking the license exam.
Also, the young man's mother was fined and risks having her license suspended for up to 3 years. The car was impounded.
“A behavior that could have cost a life. Assisted driving is about learning to protect, not risk”the gendarmerie sent.
