In Poland, over the Podlaskie Voivodeship, the airspace was temporarily closed to civil aircraft due to smuggled balloons.
According to law enforcement officials, the balloon, which was found in Zaborovo, carried 2 thousand packs of cigarettes.
Also, 2 thousand contraband cigarettes were found in a weather balloon that fell in Gonyondze, and another 30 packs were found in a balloon that fell in Bogshevo.
There are currently no restrictions on flights over Podlaskie Voivodeship.
