Escaped hamsters have been terrorizing the Portuguese island of Sao Miguel for 5 days
A cargo of 132 hamsters was sent from Lisbon to a pet store on the island of Sao Miguel. During the flight, 130 hamsters broke free. Because of daring rodents, the passenger airliner has not been able to fly back for 5 days.
In a matter of minutes, they spread throughout the entire plane and began gnawing on anything they could find. The airline employees caught almost all the fugitives, leaving 16 of the fastest, who are still crawling somewhere in the technical niches of the airliner.
It will not fly off the island until all the hamsters are caught and specialists check the electrical wiring of the airliner.
