The golden leader announced on social networks that several sections in the diaspora were left without ballots.
“As I had announced on May 4: there are sections in the diaspora left without ballots! Minimum 1,000 people in line! I ask for the emergency sending of ballots and the extension of the work schedule! Diaspora is Romania! ”, said George Simion on Facebook.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) subsequently transmitted that “Currently there is no voting section abroad not having ballots”.
“At this moment there is no voting section abroad that have no ballots. As it appears on the MAE website, the BESVS section no. 48, the requests of a number of sections that, out of prudence, have been approved, have requested to be redistributed from other sections for the legal provisions“, MAE said.
A number of 11,286,329 Romanians had voted in the country and abroad until 20.00 of May 18, a presence of 62.74%, with over 2.3 million people more than at the first round. The number of voters in the diaspora is 1,598,616.
