The pro-government daily Magyar Nemzet reported on Sunday that the personal data of approximately 200,000 people had appeared on the Internet. supporters of the opposition TISHA party. Previously, the government accused TISHA of having developed its application by Ukrainians, claiming that it could lead to the data of Hungarian citizens falling into the wrong hands. Peter Magyar, leader of TISZ, denied the accusations but admitted that the application was under constant attack. He added that Russian and Chinese hackers were behind the attacks.
The application is intended to enable supporters of the most important opposition party in Hungary to choose one of three candidates in each constituency who would compete with Prime Minister Orban's Fidesz in the elections scheduled for April 2026.
